Dunno about the rest of you but this is a Clash of the (intellectual) Titans for me. They hammer it out (one says 100 months, one says already 2 late and on and on these giants duel) while I can only watch, helplessly, waiting for their final(?) verdict.
Anyways just in case someone says 'since its too late lets just live it up'-> Remember: just cause we lost the battle against global-warming doesn't mean we need to speed it up! There's just no excuse for anyone who still uses regular light bulbs instead of fluorescent ones. It's the least one can do for the planet.
Those floresent bulbs are soooo 2002. If you arent using LED bulbs you arent doing enough for the enviroment.
I just like them to have that gritty out-of-this-world, unnatural, cold gleam with the faint feeling of a high-frequency flicker that makes me feel like my entire consciousness is being repeatedly stunned. When I use these, I truly feel how my labor actively prolongs this terminally ill planet's life and it feels so damn good! I'll try out those LED bulbs asap.

An environmental refugee isn't necessarily a "global warming" refugee directly (the pacific folks are not) but locating back to land that will be flooded by global warming conditions is not something world governments are going to help rebuild for.
Katrina refugees are displaced by the loss of an acceptable environment. They are more economic refugees than true environmental.
You want global warming environmental refugees, take a look a Africa - there you will find them in the millions.
We have gone too far to fix troubles by simply "conserving", we need to turn science and industry to reversing the damage. Planting a few trillion tree's, using cloth diapers and led light bulbs won't do it anymore, we've done too much damage to Gaia.
